Get buzzed at the WI State Fair August 4-14. Volunteers are needed to work at the State Fair Honey Booth during day and evening shifts. The WHPA Honey Booth is conveniently located in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion (dry, air-conditioned, and a great place to be at the Fair). Volunteers receive a FREE admission ticket into the State Fair and 3 names will be drawn at the 2016 WHPA Convention for a free, one year WHPA membership! To volunteer, please call Tracy Malterer at 920-285-1817 or email her at email@example.com.
Wisconsin is having a honey festival! WHPA will host a booth at the 1st annual Buzz Fest at Vetro Winery in Jefferson on August 20 from 11am-5pm. The booth will feature educational displays, observation hive, and a kid’s corner. WHPA will not be selling product at this event. A few volunteers are needed for part or all of the day. For more information contact Matt LaForge at 414-588-9632.
WHPA will host an educational booth at Farm Technology Days at the Snudden Farm in Walworth County, July 19-21. Two or three WHPA members are needed to volunteer. This is a great way to educate the agricultural community at-large about bees, honey, and pollination. To help out, please contact Matt LaForge at 414-588-9632.
